Before I came to Wildwood I was quite nervous. I had never seen it in person, did not know what my schedule would be like, nor did I know anyone here. I thought about backing out, but I knew that the Lord was leading me here, so I decided to take a step in faith and trust Him. Upon arrival I received a warm welcome from the dean, my roommate, and others around which calmed my fears. Once classes began I knew why the Lord lead me here. He has been teaching me so much through each class and every person, bringing me closer to Him, and forming me in to the woman He desires me to be. I always knew that He had a special plan for me, for my ministry, and now I can see that Wildwood plays a huge part in that plan. Proverbs 3:5-6.

Upon coming to Wildwood, my heart was set on my goal, to become a medical missionary evangelist for Jesus. What I received during those six months at the College of Health Evangelism was far more than I expected. Having no prior training in the sciences I wasn’t sure if I could handle courses on Physiology, Anatomy, & Nutrition. But the genuine Christ-like simplicity of each teacher’s methods not only helped me understand these sciences, but revealed to me how they relate to Biblical topics. The number of subjects taught in such a short time made this a very well-rounded and practical training I will be able to use for the rest of my life. I am now in the Advanced CHE course diving yet deeper into the same subjects I had once felt incompetent in. Upon leaving Wildwood I plan to pioneer my own lifestyle center and medical missionary training course in my home country, India.

My history with Wildwood goes back about 5 years ago when I came to one of their outposts for a serious drug addiction. I entered that facility a mocking atheist and left there wanting to devote my life in service to the God! While there, I learned of the College of Health Evangelism and two years later I took the course. The thing I noticed more than anything was how the different classes all worked together to give this beautiful message I could see the world was in serious need of. After taking the course, I didn’t have to look hard to find work! I have been able to put what I have learned into practice at a vegan restaurant, on overseas mission trips to Asia & Europe, and working with people struggling with addictions. Today I work as assistant director at the College of Health Evangelism and teach some of the very classes that deepened my walk with Jesus when I was a student here.

The best way to describe my experience at Wildwood is that it has been a continual road of conviction. Through all of my classes and many sermons God’s still small voice has revealed much of my character and most importantly, His character. I’ve had several convictions prior to my Wildwood experience and all of these convictions have been mentally challenging and have been validated by teachers, students, pastors, and other staff members, instruction through the use of scriptures and the Spirit of Prophecy.

We took the course in 2005 and are now working with the Lay Institute of Global Health Training (LIGHT), traveling around the world sharing the good news of health and healing through Jesus Christ. We have seen first hand how the information we received at CHE changes lives!!!

In my experience as Wildwood, I have really enjoyed the work part of it. I had the privilege to work in the Hydrotherapy department for six months, then colporteuring for three months. In both experiences I had the opportunity of winning souls for Him! In the Hydro Dept, I saw how God’s simple remedies healed the patients I treated and had the chance to share with them about Christ, pray with them, get to know them and become their friends!

When I went colporteuring, God really tried my faith. He also taught me to trust in His word. I was very insecure, and I got very nervous in front of people. Only by claiming His promises was I able to stand in front of people. I learned not to have self-confidence, but to have confidence in my Almighty and Eternal God, “Who is my refuge, and underneath (me) are (His) everlasting arms.” Deuteronomy 33:27

Everytime I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in teaching others health classes or different mission opportunities I’ve come back with so many questions of my own and wanting to know more.

Whats been great about the Advanced course is that along with the classes we’ve had these opprotunities so we come back ready to learn more and we go out again and it’s been such an awesome cycle of learning and sharing that I know is going to continue after I leave.

Wildwood has been a blessing because it has taught me how to combine scientific and spiritual ideas, teaching us how them to empower the way we spread the gospel. One thing I remember is a day that I went canvassing and a lady had a burn in the middle of her tongue and by the simple remedies I’ve learned, she was able to apply them and within a week her burn had healed. Also, through my connections, the training enabled me to give health seminars in different states and many people were blessed. Also, my spiritual growth has increased immensely through the classes and student church. I will be going to Texas to help a friend with a health ministry doing seminars and going into people’s home giving them simple treatments.
